{"id":715,"date":"2010-08-16T02:48:24","date_gmt":"2010-08-16T02:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?p=715"},"modified":"2010-10-10T22:57:58","modified_gmt":"2010-10-10T22:57:58","slug":"canopy-cover-for-a-fairy-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?p=715","title":{"rendered":"Canopy for a Fairy-Child"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-723\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=723\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-723\" title=\"done\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/done1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I made this canopy for Charlie the other day.\u00a0 I have had the materials to make it for the last three months and decided I had the time to finally do it.\u00a0 It was SOOO easy.\u00a0 I should have done it months ago.\u00a0 She loves it.\u00a0 It will be a fun place for her to sit and read her books.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-721\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=721\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-721\" title=\"stuff\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/stuff.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Foam wreath form<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">ribbon<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">a curtain<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">tulle or sheer fabric<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">felt- three shades of green<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">felt\/ fake flowers<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">gems<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">hot glue<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sewing machine-<em>optional<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">ceiling hook<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>How I did it:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I started by wrapping ribbon around the foam circle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-720\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=720\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-720\" title=\"begin\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/begin.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then I stapled the edge down after I got all the way around.\u00a0 Glue would work just fine to hold it, I just wanted to staple something. lol<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-719\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=719\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-719\" title=\"ribbon2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ribbon2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The I took three equal size pieces of ribbon, place them equal lengths around-just eyeballing it, and glued with my hot glue gun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-718\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=718\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-718\" title=\"top4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/top4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Like this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-717\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/?attachment_id=717\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-717\" title=\"circle\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lynnspin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/circle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I then cut a circle 40&#8243; in diameter, and cut a tiny circle in the middle.\u00a0 Just big enough to slide ribbon through.\u00a0 Ribbon knot holds felt up, so you don&#8217;t want the knot to slide through. This is white felt, but I recommend doing it in green.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">After my circle was cut I sewed my curtain around the bottom edge and then sewed my sheer fabric on top of that, leaving a space in the front to get in and out.\u00a0 I recommend tulle over what I used. You could try to just hot glue the curtains if your not big on sewing.\u00a0 Or check out the link at the bottom of this post\u00a0 for another version my sister-in-law found.<\/p>\n<p tied a knot and slid the loose ribbon through the whole in the felt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-716\"
