It should read, “Monday Mom Thoughts, or the lack there of.” \u00a0Yeah,\u00a0especially\u00a0for this post.<\/p>\n

I was at my wits end with my kids the other day. \u00a0The young women at our church were putting on a free baby sitting night. I WAS SOOO EXCITED!<\/span> I could hardly wait till nap time so I could shower and start feeling cute for my hot date. \u00a0But, then Devan called with bad news. \u00a0He had to go help with the young men’s activity at church…date night cancelled.<\/p>\n

I was so bummed and felt even more crazy knowing I would not be getting that break I was sooo looking forward to. \u00a0Why shower, I was going no where…blah… man!… Now I was getting snappy with the kids and was not being the best mommy I could be.<\/p>\n

Charlie even sang a song that seemed to sum up my day. \u00a0Her little ditty went something like this, \u00a0“I love my mom sooo much, even though she is mean to me. \u00a0mean mean mean to me, she is mean mean mean MEEEEAAANNN!” \u00a0She was very happy when she sang this song. \u00a0She does this a lot; where she expresses her thoughts of the day through song. <\/span> But, the moment I heard it I turned around and my jaw dropped. \u00a0“I suck,” is all I could think.<\/p>\n

I sat silently for a few moments then asked Charlie for a hug. \u00a0She so willing gave me one. \u00a0I love that girl, even when she sings truthful songs about me. lol. \u00a0We sat for a few\u00a0minutes\u00a0hugging. \u00a0A hug was just what I had needed ALL day.<\/span> Silly mama, silly me.<\/p>\n

Here is a picture from this bad day. \u00a0I was eating lunch when I got up to get some milk for Charlie and Beck. \u00a0I decided to pour myself a cup too. \u00a0I then sat down and Miss Charlie pointed out, “Mom, you have two cups of milk! That’s silly!”<\/p>\n

I looked at my cup(s), she was right. \u00a0When did I pour the first one? \u00a0A few moments ago. \u00a0Some how in those 5 mins I decided that I was\u00a0thirsty\u00a0and needed a drink of milk. (which I already had but forgot about RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE) \u00a0Oh geez….<\/p>\n

I grabbed some\u00a0oreo’s\u00a0and made it worth my while. \u00a0What a day.<\/p>\n
